When your washing machine drawer needs cleaning of the soap scum, then the best way I have found is to get a bit of washing up liquid on a OLD toothbrush and then scrub. This will enable you to get in to all the nooks and cranies and then to rinse off and this is the best bit, get your childrens water pistol and blast the mess away.
